my first night with this blog, and i'm already on quite a streak, i'm gonna keep the flow of music flowing for y'all stoners.
this entry - quite an extreme album, not suitable for just everyone. 65daysofstatic is, yeah... post-rock. i guess that's the easy way to define it. but it's so much more. they use a lot of effect pedals and stuff- this is not new in post-rock. just like their use of electronics and sampling. they aren't doing anything new or out-of-the-box, but they're doing it unlike any other post-rock band - at least, unlike any I have heard. their composition skill is really great - as most perfectly shown in the title track. 65daysofstatic is for you lovers of the more upbeat and interesting post-rock - i for one love it. take a listen!
